Vice President JD Vance will travel to Montana and Kansas today for his latest midterm rallies.
In the Montana Senate race, Republican candidate Kurt Alme faces off against independent Seth Bodnar and Democrat Alani Bankhead. Separately, the state’s first congressional district race is considered competitive. Republican Aaron Flint faces Democrat Sam Forstag.
The Kansas Senate race, meanwhile, has become a more competitive race than expected. Incumbent Republican Sen. Roger Marshall faces Democratic candidate Adam Hamilton. Trump traveled to Kansas to rally for Marshall last week.
Tomorrow, Vance is expected to travel to Michigan, where Democrat Abdul El-Sayed is facing Republican Mike Rogers in a highly competitive battleground race.
Trump will travel to Corinth, Mississippi today to rally in the traditionally deep red state. Incumbent Republican Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith is facing off against Democrat Scott Colom.
Trump won the state in 2024 by nearly 23 points, but in recent days, Democrats have poured more resources into the state. Last week, the Senate Democrats’ top super PAC announced a $1.2 million ad campaign to support Colom.
Several high-profile Democrats have also rallied for Colom in Mississippi this month, including former Vice President Kamala Harris, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker.
Later this week, Trump is traveling to Texas, Ohio and Iowa. Over the weekend, he traveled to Georgia and Michigan.
Democrat Josh Turek is launching his closing ads of the hotly contested Iowa Senate race, focusing on high fuel prices and the state’s high cancer rates as he makes his case against GOP Rep. Ashley Hinson.
The two ads, shared first with NBC News, also look to paint Hinson as one of the “corrupt politicians” who has made life more difficult for Iowans.
“Unlike Ashley, I’m not a millionaire. I’ll work to lower prices because it matters to me too,” Turek, a state legislator and former Paralympian, says in one ad where he is at a gas station, noting gas and diesel prices in Iowa have skyrocketed.
In the other spot, Turek features his sister, Ulette, noting that her insurance company declined to cover a scan as she battles breast cancer. Iowa’s rising cancer rates have been a top issue in the Hawkeye State this year.
“In the Senate, I’ll fight to ensure that doctors decide care — not insurance companies. And I’ll take on corrupt politicians that get in the way,” Turek says as images of Hinson play on screen.
Turek is in a competitive race against Hinson to replace retiring GOP Sen. Joni Ernst. The two closing ads do not mention Trump, who won Iowa by 13 points in 2024. Trump recently traveled to Iowa to boost Hinson, who has broken with the president on some issues, including calling for an end to the Iran war amid high gas and diesel prices.
President Donald Trump embraced Islamophobic rhetoric Sunday as he rallied in Port Huron, Michigan, in support of the state’s Republican candidates, including the GOP Senate nominee, former Rep. Mike Rogers.
Trump alleged that Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic Senate nominee who is locked in a dead heat with Rogers, is a “jihadist,” calling him a “Muslim Brotherhood member” while saying Rogers is “apple pie.”

A federal appeals court appeared skeptical on Sunday of a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump’s administration that seeks to force California officials to set aside thousands of mail-in ballots the administration says were sent to noncitizens ahead of midterm elections.
During a rare weekend oral argument, two judges on a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sharply questioned a Justice Department lawyer about the lawsuit, a high-profile effort by the Trump administration to boost the federal government’s role in elections ahead of the Nov. 3 midterms.
