Wyoming is celebrating its 133rd anniversary of official entry into the United States of America. The Cowboy state was the 44th addition into the union.
Cheyenne, Wyo. – The Wyoming Democratic Legislative Caucus today officially launched its new website, wyolegdems.org, along with a new logo and a new promise to the people it serves: Defend. Deliver. Demand Better.
The site puts the caucus’s work in one place, in plain language. Visitors can read where the caucus stands on public lands, health care, public schools, housing, and honest government, with the bills behind each position and the news coverage that backs it up. They can also meet the caucus’s eight legislators, look up who represents them, find upcoming events, and read caucus news, and chip in to support the caucus’s work.
“People in Wyoming deserve to know what their legislators are doing and why,” House Minority Leader Mike Yin said. “Defend, Deliver, Demand Better is how we see the job. We defend the things that make Wyoming home, we deliver for working families, and we demand better for our communities and the hardworking people that make Wyoming their home.”
The new logo sets a bold letter D in navy, steel blue, and red, with the silhouette of Devils Tower rising from its base. Proclaimed by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1906 as the nation’s first national monument, the tower stands as a reflection of what makes Wyoming unique, its public lands.
The fight to keep those lands public reached the tower itself in 2025. As introduced, Senate Joint Resolution 2 demanded that Congress give up federal title to the public lands in Wyoming, excepting only Yellowstone National Park. Senate Minority Leader Mike Gierau offered the amendment that took every national park and national monument in the state, Devils Tower and Grand Teton included, out of that demand. The Senate adopted it 24 to 6, and the resolution then died on a 15 to 15 tie, with both Democratic senators voting no.
The caucus will post statements, session updates, and upcoming events at wyolegdems.org. High-resolution logo files are available on request.
The Wyoming Democratic Legislative Caucus is made up of the Democratic members of the Wyoming Legislature: Senate Minority Leader Mike Gierau of Jackson, Senate Minority Whip Chris Rothfuss of Laramie, House Minority Leader Mike Yin of Jackson, House Minority Whip Karlee Provenza of Laramie, House Minority Caucus Chair Trey Sherwood of Laramie, Rep. Ken Chestek of Laramie, Rep. Liz Storer of Jackson, and Rep. Ivan Posey of Fort Washakie.
