  • Vermont GOP announces statewide candidates for November general election – WPTZ

The Vermont Republican Party has updated its slate of candidates for statewide offices ahead of the November election, following H. Brooke Paige’s withdrawal from several races last week.
The party said Paige stepped aside to make room on the ballot for three new Republican candidates.
Lynn LaFleur, a certified public accountant, is now running for state treasurer against Democrat Mike Pieciak.
For state auditor, businessman Ivar Kronick will challenge Tim Ashe. The current state auditor, Doug Hoffer, is not seeking re-election.
Ed Kemon has been nominated to run for attorney general against Charity Clark.
Paige will continue his campaign as the Republican candidate for secretary of state, running against Sarah Copeland Hanzas.
